The Ramesseum was constructed to be 'The Mortuary Temple' of Ramses II. The
temple faces the Nile, and has pylons, courts and hypostyle halls. The gloomy Sanctuaries are
currently closed to public. The two fallen colossi of Ramses II add drama to the archeological
Site as well as the original workmen's quarters, which are well-preserved as well.
